Leadership Development Program

The challenge

After the inspirative successful industrial ramp-up, the TE Connectivity site in Tát Hungary had to transform from a project-based organization into a standard global -model-aligned serial production structure. The daily operations faced manageable tensions: decision-making and escalation occurred too high up in the organization, firefighting prevailed over structured problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration was not effective, and the leadership competencies of shift leaders need to be develop to prepare the higher level of responsibility.

Our approach

  • We implemented a six-month leadership development program tailored to the 3-shift system, using a blended methodology.
  • The program combined external training, shadowing, coaching, microlearning, and action learning elements. Calibration workshops with top managers, and final presentations ensured practical application and real behavioral change.

The results

  • The focus was on strengthening the shift leader role, with key topics including leadership routines, problem-solving, conflict management, delegation, and motivation.
  • Participants set personal development goals, received continuous feedback, and demonstrated their progress through leadership presentations—creating a more autonomous, competent, and aligned first-line leadership community.
