The challenge

Vexve Group wanted to strengthen its safety culture and ensure that across all operating countries there is a shared understanding of how safety is reflected in everyday work. With the support of ICG Innotiimi, a safety culture analysis and vision process increased transparency, actively involved employees’ perspectives in development, and created an overall view of the situation across different units. Through a shared vision and unit-specific development paths, Vexve is now able to advance safety in a consistent and inclusive way, while taking into account the specific characteristics of each country.  

How can safety culture be developed in an international organization where units operate in different countries and at different stages of development? Without a clear picture of the current state, it is difficult to understand the level of safety leadership or to direct development consistently across the entire organization.  

Our approach

ICG Innotiimi carried out a phased analysis for Vexve, which made it possible to form an overall picture of the state of safety culture in different operating countries. Based on the collected findings, workshops were organized in which unit-specific development paths were built, as well as a group-wide safety vision and annual roadmaps. The process created a shared framework that guides safety work consistently and takes local and cultural differences of each country into account.

The results

The analysis provided Vexve with a clear overall picture of the state of its safety culture and created a foundation for directing development in different operating countries. The shared vision and unit-specific development paths support safety leadership across the group. The process increased commitment and brought forward concrete development ideas.

Safety work is now more clearly visible in everyday operations, and the shared situational picture and roadmaps help guide progress. Strengthening safety culture is now seen as a long-term, comprehensive effort that progresses consistently across all units.
